So why would one buy a new home in North Carolina instead of a resale? Well there are a number of reasons since so many of the new homes are being bought by retirees from the baby boomer generation they are thinking that a new home will mean less maintenance for the next 20 years and that lines up just right for when they would want to sell the home anyway.
Also with new homes you have this reality: sometimes the developers will undersell the market so for the same price or even lower you can have brand-new instead of a resale that is appealing indeed to everyone including families buying their first home such as a Stevens fine home.
With the new home communities often they come with amenities such as water access, a boat ramp, a community pool, tennis court Etc. whereas a “established” neighborhoods may not have those amenities that appeal to both families and retirees.
Not having to worry about remodeling the home or making significant repairs on it for at least 10 years is very appealing for the same price as a resale home.
